The Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset

is currently Adventures with VR’s headset for events where participants are seated in their virtual environment while enjoying their virtual experience.

The Oculus Rift has exceptional optics and initially comes with an XBox One hand controller.  Specialized hand controllers created for use by the Oculus Rift will reportedly be available later in 2016. Stay tuned here for updates!

Palmer Luckey, the founder and initial developer of the Oculus Rift is credited for bringing Virtual Reality to realization and mass acceptance.  Starting in 2011, at the age of 18 and working in his parents garage, Palmer created the DK1 (development kit 1) version of the first Oculus Rift and created a Kickstarter campaign to fund the initial development of his headset.

In 2014, Facebook acquired Oculus for $2 billion (us).  The first retail version of Oculus Rift was shipped in April, 2016, and Adventures with VR is excited to introduce our customers to this cutting edge, exciting new technology!
